The +160 party will keep you on your toes till dawn, and be worth the effort to go out on a tuesday night. Your host, Bad Boy Orange, says: +160 was a crazy experiment when I started it up, but tonight is our seventh anniversary bash and every year people are ready and waiting for it. Normally +160 takes place on a Tuesday but to celebrate we change the day: it used to be on a Sunday, now its on a Friday, and this evening Artificial Intelligence from London will be making their BA debut which is great.
The capitals drum n bass scene is small, so for Orange to reach the lucky-for-some seven mark is a symbol of his dedication. I really believe in what I do and its a passion for me to share the music that I like. Its always been about the music: the people and the venue then followed. After seven years its now a known night, I try to get the best DJs on the scene to play and at +160 you could actually be at a drum n bass night in London, except youre in BA because of the Argentine twist we give it.
The drum n bass night started off at El Dorado and became a victim, albeit briefly, of the Cromañón nightclub fire fallout at the end of 2004. El Dorado never opened again. A few months on and Orange located a suitable space, and +160 eventually found its home in Bahrein. The basement is a personal favourite of the local crowd, and the DJ is in agreement: Its the best small club in Buenos Aires, if not Argentina, he says. Its allowed my night to grow and attract more international DJs and crowd.

Fiesta ícono del Drum & Bass de Buenos Aires, la +160 fue la primer fiesta local de ese estilo. Hoy, a siete años del comienzo, es una de las fiestas más convocantes del género, por donde pasaron muchos de los artistas más importantes del mundo.
Animada por el curador residente Bad Boy Orange y la crew de ascendentes DJs y productores locales e internacionales, la sinergia que conjuga los ritmos quebrados del bajo y el tambor festeja este viernes 7 de agosto su séptimo aniversario en el encendido subsuelo de Bahrein que los alojó durante más de 350 martes y por donde pasaron más de 170.000 personas que deliraron con los mejores sublows del mundo. El festejo será a todo trapo con las presentaciones especiales de los londinenses Artificial Intelligence (de quienes podés ver videos y descargarte un set reciente en la página de las +160) flanqueado por el talento local Bad Boy Orange, Dj.Buey y Vj.D3mian. La fiesta por el séptimo aniversario promete descontrol y disparate desde las 24hs, como siempre, en el subsuelo XSS de Bahrein (Lavalle 345, Microcentro, Cdad. Bs As.)

Con un balance de más de 350 martes, y una concurrencia de más de 170 mil espectadores, Bad Boy Orange festejó los 7 años de +160, el ciclo que arrancaba “en una oscura y desolada noche del centro de la ciudad de Buenos Aires” y que logró instalarse como un punto central para dar con lo más interesante de los ritmos quebrados de latinoamérica.

Marcos has been mixing since he was 15 years old. The 24th of may he’ll turn 21, justifying his 6 years of expirience behind the turntables. He has worked as resident at the most prestigious clubs in the dance scene, such as CLUB PACHA, mixing for 3.000 people, EL DIVINO, CAIX, etc. He has also traveled many times to Baricloche, every winter, working as resident at SKI RANCH. In the year 2003, Marcos was invited to participate in the most important festival of INTERNATIONAL ELECTRONICAL MUSIC that has taken place in Bs. As., CREAMFIELDS. Where he played at the VIP TENT, with other fellow argentinan dj’s , sucha as ZUCKER and the worldwide known HERNAN CATTANEO, and with international dj’s such as SANDER KLEINENBERG. During the summer of 2004 he traveled to the argentinian coast, where he was the warm up at Villa Gessel @ PUEBLO LIMITE, where that same evening he mixed next to MIKE PARSONS (in charge of EUKATECH). In this same cabin and during the same time, LAYO & BUSCHWAKA, known dj’s and producers, played. HERNAN CATTANEO, was also invited to the scene. After so mucho effort and enthusiasm, Marcos has gained his space in the argentinian dance scene, transforming himself as the numer 1 resident at the main floor at PACHA CLUBLAND. Marcos has been in charge of recieveing great international DJ’S, such as the spanish WALLY LOPEZ, the brazilian GABO, the bristish MIKE PARSONS, NILS HESS and the yooung resident form PACHA @ IBIZA, SARAH MAIN. Marcos is responsable of entretaining the dancefloor, becoming the DJ GUEST every saturday night at PACHA CLUBLAND, creating and exquisite enviorment, transmiting to the guests his deep musical message, fusing between TECH & PROGRESSIVE, alwayas with house as his main root. His style is the result of a past filled with rock bands music, such as The Clash, The Cure and The Passengers, while his inspiration for a funcky rythm & percusion are product of REGGAE & DUB sounds. Defenitley hes has PACHA as his godfather, his future is promising, with great intentions of going abroad, stablishing projects with SOUTH & CENTRAL AMERICA. Gabriel Gorostidi A.KA Gabuci, was born March 15th, 1985 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Since his beginnings he has had a childhood related to music, taking his firsts steps with acoustic instruments such as guitar and drums. This second instrument is the one that joined him with the music. By 1998 with the release of “Walk on the house side” (Strictly Rhythm Compilation), he started to feel attracted to music with electronic drums and samplers in it. It was in 1999 when he decided to get involved with music production, getting his first computer exclusively for creating and producing this kind of music that was a passion for him. Gabriel was working hard in 1999 and 2000 looking for an own sound taking as a reference artists such as Jeff Mills or Sven Vath, among others. In 2002-2003 he began djing. As he was being asked to play in many parties in south Buenos Aires, he realizes this is what he wants to do from now on. After finishing school, he decides he wants to professionally study for “Technical Sound and Recording (Mixing and Mastering” but he could not conclude it so after some time he begins a course for “Live Sound” in the General San Martín Theatre, which helped him to improve his productions. After a few years of hard working creating and discovering new sounds and techniques, he gets the chance for his productions to be released worldwide in many digital labels such us Acktivism (Barcelona), Feralcode (Budapest, Hungría), Offside Recordings (Buenos Aires-Barcelona), Audiologic Recordings (Chicago, USA), Balkan Connection (Belgrado, Serbia) Bit records Mexico (Mexico), Xela Digital (Mexico) among others, being in first place for several weeks in many of them. Having a long list of own tracks and remixes done, and the support from important Djs such us Hernan Cattáneo, Nick Warren, Soundexile, Martín García, DeepMariano, Simon Lawler (Viva Music), Manuel Sofía aka MOS, Marcos Paz, Kasey Taylor, Guille Quero, Pole Folder, kosmas epsilon, Sandrino (sprout), Abyss (Rennaisance), to name a few, he starts, in 2008, playing in different venues in the electronic scene. In 2009 he gets the opportunity to play in bigger clubs like Pacha Buenos Aires and Infierno Cordoba. At the same time he experiments with new sounds makings his tunes in a more tech house, deep house and minimal style. Nowadays, Gabuci continues djing, producing and remixing, always trying to evolve as an artist and a professional. Estudiando la carrera “Técnico en Sonido y Grabación”(Mezcla y Mastering) que no pudo concluir en su totalidad (2 años de 3 que era la carrera) por problemas ajenos a su persona, decide no darse por vencido y comienza en el Teatro General San Martín, de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires, el curso de “Sonido en Vivo”(recitales, teatro, Eventos, entre otros), curso que a su término, lo ayuda a profesionalizar su sonido en el campo de la producción, con la utilización de compresores y diferentes tratamientos de sonidos empleado en las 2 carreras cursadas. Luego de intensos años creando y descubriendo nuevos sonidos y técnicas en su estudio, consigue que sus producciones seas selladas hacia todo el mundo en diferentes sellos discográficos digitales como por ejemplo Acktivism (Barcelona), Feralcode (Budapest, Hungría), Offside Recordings (Buenos Aires-Barcelona), Audiologic Recordings (Chicago, USA), Balkan Connection (Belgrado, Serbia) Bit records México (México), Xela Digital (México) entre otros, ocupando en muchos de ellos el primer puesto durante varias semanas.
